The clipboard thing doesn't appear to work, drat. I can't seem to set the clipboard contents in TextEdit, and the copy AS command doesn't work there, either.

I need to think of a clever way to un-escape stuff as I'm transmitting the text from an AppleScript variable through to XML-RPC. Hm.
