Last weekend we had a major power outage and my frontier-Manila server
shut down. This is the fifth time this has happened.
Every time I reboot the machine, Manila doesn't associate its databases
with the server ip address. Short of reinstalling the whole package,
and then transferring the old sites onto the new sites, is there any
other way to get this problem solved? I live in an area where long
power outages are a problem...the server is on a fifteen minute ups but
it doesn't help when power is out for over four hours at a time.
Reinstalling the software and then transferring the site takes about a
day too, and time is an issue here. Can anyone help? Also if I have to
reinstall the software is there a faster way to restore an entire
database of users besides going to each users account, unistalling and
reinstalling in the new website root?
Sincerely,
Tammy
