When I tried it between a g4/400 and g4/667 on the same 100bt hub, performance was abysmal. Worse than when I was using it between pentium/486s on linux way back when. I thought something must be wrong, but I didn't have the time to debug.

The short answer: it's in limbo.

The longer answer:

I got caught in a design quandry, figuring out config files that are simple enough for shell scripts yet expressive enough to do what I want, without writing a whole new config file language.  Then an emergency came up and the immediate need passed with some manual twiddling.
