Old-style Frontier usage in OS X world

I still use Frontier as it was long ago, as a website rendering
framework. I still ftp using Appletalk commands to Fetch. I feel like
a dinosaur, but have pretty much fun with my hybrid Frontier/PHP
universe.

Anyway, I am learning to operate the Mac OS X side of a website I
want to make in Frontier. I am able to create pages using all of my
tools. It's cool.

I have one problem: when new directories are needed to fit the
structure of the website, some part of the file transfer chain is
creating folders with bad permissions. In this case, it's all 'no
access'.

I can't find a way to remedy this but, since I have been feeding
website pages into unix servers for a long time. Can anybody advise
me on causing the Frontier rendering chain to yield properly
permissioned folders?

thanks,
tqii
