Frontier 5.0.1 -> Radio 8.0.8 transition

Inspired by the discussion that Radio is Frontier without the $$$
pricetag (and minus the web hosting capabilities) I have been
incorporating my Frontier 5.0.1 website code into Radio 8.0.8. If I
can get everything up and going I will gladly pay the $40 pricetag
for Radio. I'm on the Mac OS X (10.2.4) platform. Some comments and
issues
1) Wow! Pretty smooth transition. The database structure is mostly
the same so all my old mods and sites and stuff just slide right in.
Bravo for backward compatibility!
2) Macros could be looked up from the #tools table. I have a bunch
of macros in my website.#tools table that aren't being looked up
[Macro error: Can't call the script because the name "jsUrl" hasn't
been defined.].
3) In a related note, when I was rendering a page in Frontier 5.0.1
and I got Macro errors, the user.html.macroErrors window would pop up
and show the errors. Though the web page has the macro error text in
the HTML, the macro errors are not showing up in the
user.html.macroErrors page.
4) Radio seems to constantly be processing in the background. It
looks like it saved the database every couple of minutes. Can I turn
this off? The File menu has a 'Work Offline' option that seem to turn
off the local web service at http://127.0.0.1:5335/. But there are
all sorts of open files under the Window menu (staticSites.root,
whoIs.root, etc.) and the StatusMessage says there are usually 4
threads running, even when I'm not doing anything.
5) I had a couple of my own menus I created and use often. I put
their address into user.menus, which worked fine for the most part.
Then I tried renaming them so the menus would appear in the order I
wanted. Lo and behold the user.menus.bookmark, user.menus.radio, and
user.menus.tools all recreate themselves. Is user.menus a proper
place for me to be playing in?
