UserLand Frontier 9.0 upgraders are available for Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X and Mac OS Classic. You can upgrade from Frontier 6.0 or greater to Frontier 9.0. The Frontier 9.0 change notes are here.
Please read the license, and do not download or use the software unless you agree to its terms.

Before you install
Make a backup of your Frontier folder.
There are many new and changed parts, and a full upgrade may take a few minutes. Also note that the upgrade process will replace your current copies of manila.root, mainResponder.root, and prefs.root.
How to upgrade
1. Download and expand the upgrade package for your platform, linked above.
2. Quit Frontier if it's running, and replace your Frontier application with the new application in the upgrade package.
3. Launch Frontier, the new version.
4. Double-click the "Upgrade Frontier.ftds" script included in the upgrade package.
5. Click Yes when asked if you want to upgrade to Frontier 9.0.
6. Depending on your previous configuration, one of two things will happen:
If you'd previously been using Frontier as a web server, your browser will come to the front with a login dialog box. Enter the email address and password you use to access the Control Panel, and click OK to open the Frontier 9.0 Admin website.
If you have never used Frontier as a web server, then your web browser will open to the UserLand Frontier Setup page. Follow the instructions on the page. After submitting the setup form, a login dialog will appear -- enter your email address and password to log in.
