Static Images + Mac timeouts

Maria,

I don't know if your situation will allow it, but I use Tinyweb to serve
images on my laptop when it acts as a web server. It's small, easy to use,
and seems quick enough. http://www.ritlabs.com/tinyweb/

I configured it to serve on port 90 and then changed my theme and all that
jazz to look for images on port 90, i.e.,
http://192.168.0.1:90/images/space.gif.

Works like a charm.

P.S. I use Apache on my real server on port 90. Works the same way.
