I think it should read...

&#123;viewNewsItems (30, &quot;Department Name&quot;, &quot;&lt;li&gt;&lt;a href=\\&quot;&#123;url&#125;\\&quot;&gt;&#123;itemTitle&#125;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&quot;)&#125;

Notice the second escaped &quote; character. If you used the sample as displayed on the webpage, it won't work.

Let us know what happens.
