Frank,

Manila doesn't rebuild the DG or Home Page calendar to account for 
deleted stories, messages or news items (it  should). The change you 
want requires server access, which you don't have in this case. So 
you'll have to live with the dead-end links, or undelete your news 
items and fill them with yummy weblog goodness. HTH.
