Strange DG Prefs Truncation

In Prefs > Discussion Group > Response List Appearance:

WHEN...An inline style such as <p style="margin-left"> is used in any of 
the five text fields (Response List Header, Response List Message Template,
  etc.) and the form is submitted

THEN...Everything to the right of the equal sign is truncated (e.g., <p 
style= ).

SO...This makes it impossible to use CSS to format these aspects of the DG.

The two textarea fields work fine. TIA.
