Dear Folks:

Well, Grant Dunham has been fantastic in helping me get my feet on the
ground with Manila. He spent quite a long time walking me through setting up
a Manila site, stories, gems, etc. Many thanks Grant.

But as we were going through all that, we ran into a problem. After we had
set up Gems, and I had added a few gems (a .pdf and an .rtf file) to a test
site, every time I clicked on the gems (or embedded it within a story, and
clicked on the resulting link), it returned the following error message:

Sorry! There was an error: There is no folder or object database named
"test2.root" in the folder "Phoenix:Applications:Frontier:Guest
Databases:www:manila:".

The error was detected by Frontier 9.0 in mainResponder.respond. Webmaster:

======
That's strange. Within my Frontier folder I have a Guest Databases folder,
inside that folder there are three other folders, one of which is www.
Within www I have a gems, and a manila folder, along with other things.
Within the gems folder I have a folder called Test2 (the name of the test
site), and inside Test2 the files that will hopefully be "gemmed." There is
nothing inside the manila folder.

Now... In the Manila control panel we made sure that the URL for gems was a
straight IP (numbers), and that it ended properly. Here's an example:

http://123.45.5.233/gems/

No dice. It still gave us the same error message.

Any advice? Grant, thanks again for all your help and time. I really do
appreciate it.

Best,

NC
