Discussion Navigation

Under my Discussion navigation bar, under Recent Topics,  I would like to
have some links to highly discussed topics or ones that I would like
highlighted as links?  Is this possible? Some coding I may need?

My blog is at www.schoolblogs.com/mlti  if it helps to look. (I've been
playing a lot with the preferences and tools, so it isn't pretty right
now.)
