Thank you for the information. Unfortunately the apache.server.com dns name is still required for our other web server so mapping apache.server.com/frontier_files/ in the domains settings page to the gems/picture folder wouldn't be possible.

However, I managed to go through the process that I described in my initial post and it seems to have done the trick.

It was good to get your reassurance on this.
