the controlpanel interface for the sendmail suite supports any port for SMTP AUTH (specifically port 587). Go to the admin site -> settings -> addins look for sendmail.

I have had nothing but trouble attempting to use TLS for anything but secure http client; theroetically it should be easy to have sendmail use secure sockets but I'd hate to try it.
