We have hosting for Manila sites at the Kern County Superintendent of Schools for lots of National Writing Project teachers. Many of these teachers, because of legal and management issues with younger students, have used the PrefsAdmin panel to individually enroll students who do not have e-mail addresses. This allows the teachers to assign passwords and keep a list of those passwords for reference while not putting the school in the position of requiring e-mail addresses for students.

 You can see that in the former PrefsAdminMembership panel, there is the option at add a password:

Kern County did a recent Frontier upgrade. On sites using the new Frontier installation, the PrefsAdminMemberDefinition panel no longer allows editorial assignment of passwords:

Please let us know if the removal of the password field is due to a change in Frontier.
