The mailStory macro only generates an E-mail link for pages that are stories. The macro code explicitly checks to make sure the page is a story before generating a link.

Why? Why can't we let people mail discussion group messages or news items if we want? A message is a message is a message, please.

One of my Weblog owners also sends lots of items around by mail. If she makes messages into stories, she can get Manila to reformat the HTML and do all the hard work for her - provided she makes a story out of it for no other reason. If she doesn't want to put it in the stories list, she has to reformat it all by hand. Why?

Please don't restrict capabilities for messages based on whether they're "stories" or not. Give us a way to let people E-mail anything.

This is a Manila site... http://manila.userland.com/.
