I should preface these comments by saying I think Manila/frontier is the best publsihing/KM environment I have used, particularly for the small not-for-profit/education sector that I am in.

I am curious if others experience regular/intermittent crashes of Frontier. I say regular/intermittent because some days it will run for 2-3 days without a hitch and then crash. Other days it will crash every 24 hours or so.

I do have the keepfrontierrunning script installed and it is a beauty!

I have tried to ascertain a particular pattern but am unable to. It does often appear to crash just after I have written a new news item and posted it to the home page.

The server crashes and I find I have to go back to the news items and re-post it to the home page from the pending items list! I also notice many, but not all crashes appear around midnight?

I am on an X-Serve Server running 10.2.8 Server. It is dedicated to Frontier/Manila and has nothing else running. I have over 80% Disk space free and 512 MB of Ram on a G4 with a 1.33 Ghz processor. It is two years old but has run without a blink! It is a fantastic combination!

I have also noticed that I often get the "server did not respond within 2 Minutes" error when running the maintenance updates? Could this be related in anyway?

Any thoughts on how I could get my configuration running for more than a few days?

Do others with similar configurations have greater up time?
