It's going to be difficult to reproduce this here without more specific instructions. Can you give us the exact recipe in the following form:

1. What I did. (Be as specific as you can.)

2. What I expected to happen.

3. What actually happened.

Also, you mentioned "changing the URL back". Back to what, and from what? Are you referring to your site's URL? The URL in your browser's address bar? Something else?
