Scott,

You have a syntax error on line 96:

var j = 0

is missing the semi-colon. I'm not sure how this would relate to static rendering, but I think it's causing the javascript interpreter to skip the function definition for showImage.

I'm not certain what effect it is having, but Manila seems to be tacking some <p>'s on the end of some of the lines of your script.
