Just trawled back through my previous postings and Lawrence's invaluable assistance:

I recently updated Baylys.root

That is what I THINK caused the error. If I jump to config.manila.callbacks.commentsubmit and examine the table and I delete the ManilaSiteCallbacks from Baylys.root then I can post comments.
