Ok... I have just discovered that though at one time our manila sites were being indexed, now they are not.

I ran the force index script on two of the sites (one was a new one & even though it was set thru the control panel to be searchable, flsearchable was still false!).. there was nothing in the user.betty que... I think it had done it's thing quickly

what finally did the trick of getting this indexed once was I ran mainResponder.search.server.indexStoredPages

My question is: why doesn't/didn't this happen automatically? What can I do so that new messages/stories/newsItems get indexed?
