Resolving File Shortcuts

It appears that Frontier for Windows has no way to detect or 
follow/resolve shortcuts because the corresponding alias verbs aren't 
implemented (file.followAlias) or don't work (file.isAlias). Before I 
write a kludgy read-and-parse-the-.LNK script to handle this, is there 
something I've overlooked? TIA.
