This is a very noobie question I'm sure but why do my curly brackets get converted to { inside a story? It is very annoying to have to go back and change them all back every time I edit a page. Makes it hard to practice writing simple scripts etc.

Also, are there certain HTML elements where macros won't be evaluated? For instance I am trying to put the \{title\} macro inside a hidden form element and it doesn't appear to be evaluating.
