In my humble opinion, this table should be something like, you know, /documented/ on this site. I've been trying to use the word \"Discuss" in a relativeLink macro, and it doesn't work, and I finally figured out that because, way down in user.html.glossary, the word "Discuss" is mapped to http://discuss.userland.com .

It should go without saying that, in years of running a Manila server, I have /never/ needed to link to discuss.userland.com so often that I need a shortcut for it, much less on the same word that links every message to my own discussion groups.

Putting a backslash in front of it, like \"Discuss", does not work inside a macro call. I found the table and renamed it to "UserLand Discuss", but that was only after a long find operation to see where it was defined. A search of this site for "user.html.glossary" only brings up one thread, and that's only after I knew what to look for.

This table includes /609 shortcuts/, including common words like "beta" and "discuss" (and even "the pope") that can't be used in relativeLink (or probably other) macros because it's hidden down there. If it needs to stay for backwards compatibility, we need an explicity way to disable it. The same is true for user.html.macros, I'd think.

This is a Manila site.. http://manila.userland.com/.
