Is there any merit in a additional settings page as a 'menu manager' which would allow the site admin to setup n number of menus with the same behaviour as the basic origanl site nav and navigatorlinks macro.

Then it would be possible to drop side/bottom/sub menus in all over the sites and refer to them as

{navLinks("1")} or {navLinks("Services")} or {navLinks("Footer")} and so on.

No doubt this has been thought of or mentioned over the decades before now ... or has it already been coded ?
